Sports Program at Saint Ann School

Saint Ann School offers competitive sports teams in 5th Grade Girls and Boys Basketball, Middle School Girls and Boys Basketball, and Middle School Girls Volleyball.

For the 5th Grade teams, basketball fundamentals are emphasized.

Fourth Graders are allowed to participate in 5th Grade basketball to teach those fundamentals early.

Middle School Volleyball is split into a 7th Grade team and a 8th Grade team.  Fifth graders are allowed to participate on the 7th Grade team again to teach fundamental skills early.  Additionally, all students are invited to join Saint Ann School teams with no tryouts.

Players are held to high academic and sportsmanship standards. Despite the smaller school size, Saint Ann School players are competitive due to dedicated volunteer coaches and to skill development in the younger grades.

Saint Ann School hosts and the Knights of Columbus sponsors the end of season 5th Grade Girls and Boys basketball tournament in May each year.  The tournament is held at the local Cerro Coso Community College gymnasium.  Teams from the entire community participate.

Saint Ann School also participates in the local Junior Olympics track and field meet in the Spring for ages 7 and up.
