Visual Arts Program
The Saint Ann School Visual Arts Program provides students an opportunity to broaden appreciation of their surroundings. The exploration, practicing, and learning new techniques, such as drawing, painting, and Intaglio printmaking, allow for discovery and creative problem solving.
Another important aspect of this program is to present art in a historical context as well as relating it to other subjects, such as math and science. Students learn to incorporate, develop, and organize ideas that help lead to their success.
The Saint Ann School Visual Arts Program also includes the study of Cultural Arts, such as Asian mandalas, Celtic “knots”, Jewish Hanukkah and Passover, as well as South American Art.
All grades meet for Visual Arts class for 50 minutes once a week.
Beauty is the vocation bestowed on the artist by the Creator in the gift of artistic talent.
