Weekly School Mass
Every Friday morning the students and staff of Saint Ann School celebrate Mass with Father Santiago, the parish Pastor. Mass starts at 8:15. Each week one of the school classes, except Kindergarten, leads the Mass, starting with 8th Grade in the beginning of the school year. Students act as ushers, carry the school banner, and most importantly, do all of the readings. This repeated act of public reading at a microphone gives students the confidence to speak in public throughout their lives.
At the school Mass the school choir also sings. Parents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend. During the Homily, Father Santiago directly involves students by asking them questions about the readings. Students are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food to offer at the beginning of Mass. The most special Masses are when Father baptizes a Saint Ann School student.
Pray with us at the next Saint Ann School Mass!
