STEM Event - Geology - May 14, 2018

Personnel from the local Navy Base's Environmental Office gave a Geology STEM event for the 4th and 6th grades of Saint Ann School.  The STEM event included learning about the local geological formations, formation of alluvial fans, weathering of rocks, erosion in stream beds, and groundwater features, such as healthy aquifers, drought conditions, contamination from underground storage tanks & septic systems, and over-pumping of wells for agricultural purposes.
